Funding and Fundraising

Most of our fundraising for the Booster Club comes from selling concessions and donations. The money raised is available upon request to support school administration needs, our student athletes, clubs, and more. In addition we are licensed to run 50/50 raffles to benefit our sports teams and clubs when concessions is open. Teams and clubs can also raise money working concessions stands at UW Events.

Funding Requests

Requests for funding from the Booster Club should be directed to either the Head Principal or Athletic Director for approval before being submitted to the Booster Club Board of Directors. Requests will be voted on during the subsequent Booster Club Meeting. Requests are considered and brought forth for approval based on need and funds available from Booster Club revenue. While not required, the booster club will give preference to teams and clubs who have volunteered for the Booster Club. To make a request do the following.

  • Obtain and complete the request form.

  • Athletic teams should submit requests to the Athletic Director for initial approval. All other groups should submit requests to the Head Principal for initial approval.

  • Approved initial requests should be emailed to the Booster Club at least 5 days before the next Booster Club meeting to receive full consideration.

  • It is recommended that the requesters are present at the meeting. We encourage coaches, students, teachers, and group leaders to attend.

UW Concessions Event (Levy) Info

Levy Restaurants runs all UW–Madison concessions and provides opportunities to raise funds for your sports team, club or group. You can sign your group up to work at UW sporting events, concerts, and more. While you are working in concessions, 10% of all funds raised at that booth will go to your team, club, or group.

Everyone in the group must be 16 years or older and there must be at least one adult always working. There is no minimum number of participants required. If there isn’t enough in the group to fill the booth, then you will be paired with another organization and will split the funds between the groups based on the number of workers.

Time commitment depends on the event. For football games, you may work for up to 6 hours (but can make more money). Other events may require closer to 3 hours of work. Groups that signed up in the past have raised anywhere from $400 to $2,500 per event! The Robert M. La Follette All-School Booster Club pays for annual liability insurance to cover La Follette students and adults who work at Levy.

For questions and more information please contact Hailey Fuller at hfuller@levyrestaurants.com. Let Hailey know you are with La Follette High School Booster Club and which club/group/team you are representing.
